The Customization Process

Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom embroidery?

No! Our biggest commitment is to you. We offer custom embroidery with NO MINIMUM order required on all hats, beanies, and apparel. You can order a single personalized item—it's that easy.

What text placement options do I have for my custom items?

We primarily offer the left-chest placement for shirts/sweatshirts and the center-front cuff for hats/beanies. For text, you may enter up to two lines. If you only enter one line, we will ensure the text is perfectly centered to maximize its visual quality.

How many thread colors and font styles can I choose from?

We offer a curated selection of our top eight thread colors (including Black, White, Navy, and Gold) and several high-quality font styles (Classic Block, Clean Sans-Serif, Elegant Script, and Vintage Serif). This limited selection ensures a clean, professional finish that lasts longer than cheap alternatives.

Do I get to approve the final design proof?

Yes, for all custom orders, you have the option to receive an emailed proof within 24 hours. Production will not begin until we receive your final approval, ensuring your custom item is exactly what you envisioned. It is important to monitor your inbox and spam/junk folder for your design.

Why do you use embroidery instead of custom printing on your custom apparel?

We use embroidery because it provides a premium, durable, and textured finish that lasts longer than printed vinyl. Embroidery looks sophisticated, won't crack or fade, and is what allows us to justify the quality of our premium blanks (like Comfort Colors™).

Do you offer organic or anti-allergy fabric for custom beanies?

Yes. Our customizable beanies are made from 100% organic cotton, making them anti-allergenic, incredibly soft, and a great choice for sensitive skin. This is part of our commitment to quality, sustainable headwear.

How do I choose the correct size for my custom embroidery on a shirt?

We generally use a micro-embroidery size (1.5" to 2.5" wide) on the left chest for a subtle, high-end look. If you enter initials or short text, we will size the embroidery up to fill the space for maximum visual impact, guaranteeing your design doesn't look too small.

Turnaround Time & Shipping

What is the total production and shipping time for a custom embroidered order?

Custom embroidery takes time to perfect. Once we receive your final design approval, the standard turnaround time is typically 2−4 days for production, plus standard shipping time. (Note: Shipping is FREE on all orders!).

What should I do if the proof email goes to my junk folder?

We recommend adding our email address hello@heartlandstitch.com to your contacts list. If you do not see the proof within 24 hours, please check your spam or junk folder and contact us immediately so we can resend the file.
